University Scholarships

The Ariel Rosado Foundation in partnership with Galen University provides scholarships to Galen University for needy and deserving Belizeans. Galen University provides full Tuition Waivers for three scholarships. One of these scholarships (the Saniyya Rosado Athletic Scholarship – named for Ariel's only daughter) is specifically tailored to encourage Belizean youths to follow in Ariel's footsteps by striving to excel in the sport of their choice while pursuing a university degree. This scholarship is awarded to a Belizean athlete who has excelled in a sport and has met the requirements for acceptance into a Galen University program. The first Sanniyya Rosado Athletic Scholarship was very appropriately awarded to Oscar Quiros who literally followed in Ariel's footsteps by capturing the Junior Cross Country Cycling Title and the Junior National Road Champion Cycling Title while qualifying for acceptance in a university program.

The other two university scholarships are open to all Belizeans who have meet the requirements for acceptance into a Galen University program and who demonstrate financial need.
